A Seat at the Table

A Seat At The Table was an intimate event created by by the third cohort of New Architecture Writers exploring how food marks cultural identity in the city, and celebrating the work of practitioners dedicated to advocating for this cause. With toasts and speeches by Melissa Haniff of RESOLVE Collective, Rachel Dring of Crop Drop & Wolves Lane Co-operative, and an interview with food writer Jonathan Nunn, PATCH facilitated a rich series of conversations alongside a Middle Eastern vegan feast prepared by the social enterprise Fat Macy’s. The budget for this project was £2,500.
